ForeverGreen Partnership – Get Wise About Water – August 2017

Water is important for all of us. This month, learn about ways you can help save water.

Here are a couple easy things to do right away!
– Rinse vegetables in a bowl and not under running water. Then, use that water to water your plants.
– Post a notice in your workplace kitchen, to encourage wise water usage when washing the dishes.
– If you notice a leaky faucet, report it to your property manager.
With everyone’s help, we can preserve this resource for the future.

The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce honored the best of local business on Thursday, June 22 during its 2017 annual meeting for Awards and Chamber Excellence. We’re excited to announce that our very own Pinot’s Palette was recognized with the Small Business of the Year Award for demonstrated excellence, industry innovation and Chamber support. Owner, Robyn McClure, accepted the award. Pinot’s Palette is an upscale and entertaining paint & sip studio with a gourmet wine shop. They offer a variety of wines, snacks, and fun painting experiences taught by talented artists. Congratulations to Pinot’s Palette!

ForeverGreen Partnership – Get Outside and Walk this July

Summer is here and Woodland Park Crossing is a great place to get outdoors and hang out with the family. Walking is more than good exercise. Some studies show that taking a lunch hour walk can help boost productivity and reduce stress.

So take some time to enjoy the summer and walk around. You’ll be healthier and happier for it.

ForeverGreen Partnership – May 2017

Woodland Park Crossing is pleased to announce the new ForeverGreen initiative in partnership with Bentall Kennedy. The goal of the ForeverGreen Tenant Engagement initiative is to help our tenants make substantive improvements in sustainability, leading to a cleaner. greener and more enjoyable place to work. We expect these changes to improve the shopping and retail experience, while supporting a great place to engage and enjoy the community for the nearby residents that call this area home.

Each month we will focus on a different sustainability issue. May’s focus is the importance of indoor air quality. There are many ways to improve the air quality in your work space. Some ideas include: bringing a plant to work, using green cleaners in the work space and checking the filters in your ventilation systems.

We can all do our part. Check back for next month’s clean, green ideas!
